Of course there is. The converter and batteries are connected in parallel.
The batteries and the converter/charger (NOT inverter) are both connected to the load panel(s) and both will supply power to the loads in various percentages depending on the load and the voltage of the batteries at the moment.
In fact, most of the time when shore power is connected, most of the 12 V current that you use comes directly from the converter to the loads.....and some goes to charging the batteries if needed.
