Remember zapping ants with a magnifying glass?

I feel dumb... but why not just place PV panels (I'd go for 24-48 volt panels so thinner gauge cables can be used), then have a charge controller or inverter convert it into a current that the vehicle can use? No, this isn't as easy as just having the vehicle back up under a magnifying glass, but with how brain-dead a lot of people are, I'd worry about potential when their cat falls asleep in the afternoon, and the magnified sunlight fricassees Fluffy.
