Remote Propane Gauge issue

I have a 1988 Fleetwood Tioga C class and the remote Gauge on the on board propane tank is not working. It is fastened on with two screws and one wire attaches with a nut. I know there are two different styles of this, but don't know which one mine is. They show a wired magnetic gauge and I guess a regular wired gauge. Anybody know how to tell the difference? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • What it he inside dial (receiver)doing, showing full, showing empty?
Check the connection at the dial it could be corroded, also run a ground wire from the hand guard bolt to a good clean ground. Let me know what you find.
The nut style sender where prone to corrosion and where replaced by the two wire style. one wire goes to the receiver (dial on the dash) the other goes to ground and it DOESN'T matter which wire.

They just moved your post from the Class C section to here in the Tech forum as it doesn't pertain to a Class C only- you'll get more eyes on your thread here.
