You have to remember that modern engines use GEAR REDUCTION starters which halve or third the amount of amperage of the old fashioned direct drive starter.
A Toyota V6 engine may require 90 amperes for what ten seconds? Ten seconds of cranking is an eternity, most people take it to the shop if things get that bad.
120 amps for 5 or ten minutes is a lot for that type of terminal. What crosses my mind is eventual annealing. The band will lose tension and become rubberized metal. Try it. If the terminal does not get hot, you have it made. No sense in creating a problem where there isn't one. But the idea is to CHECK THE TERMINAL. If it gets hotter than the hinges of hell then you are going to have to go to plan B.
Those terminals are an easy fix. I'd hate to see you pass them up needlessly. But now you are aware of the need to check them while they are under full load. Just don't risk burning your fingers. With zinc I would use the commercial aluminum/copper deoxidation compound sold at hardware and electrical supply houses to coat the surfaces when assembling.
