You can cut the rubber wipe seal by the roller and then use LONG needle nose pliers to pull the wrapped rubber out from the roller. I HAVE done this before also. I doubt your roller is bad, it just has that rubber torn and caught and needs removed. You will have the slightly raise the room to relieve the tension on the roller to get the rubber removed. Raising the room that 1/4 inch will not harm the Slide side mechanism's. Doug
