Replacing DPDT slide out switch with reversing type?
The slide out switch in my Arctic Fox TC has gone bad.
I got a new one, but it's a different type.
The old one is a standard DPDT, with power and ground connected to the center and motor leads are connected to sides in criss-cross manner. In neutral position, motor leads are not connected to anything.
The new switch is the reversing type. I can rewire the harness, but the main difference would be that BOTH motor leads are grounded in neutral position with the new reversing switch.
If they went straight to motor, it would be no problem, but I'm not sure what's in between - there's some limit switches circuitry at least, and there is no detailed electrical diagram in the papers.
Should it be ok to replace the switch?
Thanks!
