- robsouthExplorer III invented a dark bulb once. Problem is, once I turned it on, everything went dark and I ain't seen it since. Oh well...
- krobbeExplorerThe fuse is in backwards?
Was it made in Australia? I heard that the toilet will swirl in the opposite direction. Maybe electrons travel backwards as well?
Ok. Seriously, get a digital volt meter and check the battery terms, switch, and possibly the motor is wired backwards. - Passin_ThruExplorerNope, you can add a pill to your glass before hand thus you won't have dry water.

But today, when I switched the cable, nothing happened, including the lights.
With no shore power, the lights work, but the slide out switch is still reversed.
RED FLAG! Which color wire is attached to the Neg of your battery (as marked on the battery itself)?
Hooking up your battery in reverse, even as a test can have bad consequences....
Or did I misunderstand you? - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

Come on, battery cable gurus. If the cables got reversed, the polarity fuses on the converter would blow. Converters 101..
True....but slideouts are wired directly to battery which would not stop slideout op if reverse polarity fuses were blown on converter and OP didn't state anything about other DC items until later on after being questioned about situation.
Then he states blown fuse for slideout...and slideout now running reversed via switch.
Needs to pull switch and check slideout operation via contacts/terminals on switch. - Bob_LandryExplorerCome on, battery cable gurus. If the cables got reversed, the polarity fuses on the converter would blow. Converters 101..
- rcostaExplorerThank you for the conversation.
I did not change anything, and it had worked correctly, so I don't think changing the wires in the switch would be the ultimate answer.
I did notice a blown fuse for the slide out, but I replaced it.
I was thinking reverse polarity because I noticed once when I hooked up the battery incorrectly, the slide out switch operated reversed as well. But today, when I switched the cable, nothing happened, including the lights.
With no shore power, the lights work, but the slide out switch is still reversed.
Tomorrow, I will look at some of the suggestions above.
Thank you again. - skipncharExplorerI suppose reversing polarity would also result in dry water?
- brownieabExplorerMe Too....That was clever

But wouldn't a reversed polarity 12v yield dark lights? :B
Darn it! Almost pooped myself laughing! :B
