THat type of crimp removes easily with a dremel.. but be very careful The "Tab" is what I'd cut off then pry it off. Try not to damage the line.

Sharkbite connections are my choce though there is another that works well too
A plastic thing you can get at a RV store (you might need a tool to slightly flare the pex.
YOu slip nut over the pex
Then slightly flare the end
Slip this plastic thimajig into it till the pex is down past the "Teeth"
hand tighten the nut (Forces teh teeth to grip the pex
Very solid
