Oops, I reread your post and you would need to test the SG and then measure for Rb at various SG and then plot.
With that said, the resistance of the battery increases over time and the curve will change shape slightly too, so this might really be futile...
Ken you must be an EE (MSEE) like me (I work for a large defense electronics contractor). No one else would know about Thevenin models.
