Runaway AC - Unit or T-stat ?
Hi All, need to ask for your thoughts on my issue. I am just starting to troubleshoot this but wanted to get the question out for any possible feedback.
I have a 2013 Jayco trailer - 15k AC with a Honeywell digital t-stat that I installed about a year ago.
Recently, past couple of weeks, I have noticed on a couple of occasions that my AC will keep running after the t-stat has stopped calling for cool. When I say it keeps running I mean it seems to continue until I stop it. This usually happens when I realize that it is cold and I look at the temp.
I can hear the t-stat click when it reaches set point and it looks like it should have stopped the system. I am trying to catch it and check voltage at the AC to see if the t-stat is really shutting off but have not done that yet.
So, any of you have thoughts on the likely hood of this being the t-stat?
