Only caution would be it won't take long to run down a battery with this compressor so if you needed anything more then a quick top off you could run the battery down fast. If your truck is wired to charge your trailer battery's when hooked up then plug in your trailer lights and start your truck so the trailer battery won't be sucked dry.
