yes.. you can start the engine with the jump start
BUT do not drive, do NOT race the engine, the dead battery will be a very large load taking lots of amps
let the engine idle (low idle) no choke, do NOT rev the engine to reduce choke, let be IF it is on
let it run at least 30 minutes, even longer if you can, the longer at idle the better
Better yet, start the generator, and use a battery charger
NO charger, use a jumper cable between house batteries and engine battery
charge battery via converter and generator
