Electric hot water is going to be slower than propane. Built in heaters appear to be in the 1 KW range or 3400 BTU, add on hot-rods appear to be in the 400 watt range or 1300 BTU.
Propane hot water heaters appear to be in the 12000 Btu input (probably in the 9000 BTU output) range.
If electric is included, it would certainly be worthwhile to use the electric heater for all you can, using propane when you need quick recovery.
