I want to tighten up the receiver/hitch bar connection on my tow vehicle. I am thinking of using some kind of shim stock but don't want something that will rust or corrode. I have used steel washers...

If washers have worked in the past, look for some stainless washers, if you do not have them under a bolt head and tightening them up, just using them to take up space look for some plastic stock that is the right thickness.
