RV Hot Water Heater

Just bought a new RV. We've had one before and hardly had any issues. One issue I'm having with the new RV is getting hot water. I've attached a picture of the setup for the hot water tank. To me, this doesn't seem right. I'm not even sure if the hot water tank is filling up either. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  • Looks like a home made bypass system used to winterize the water pipes. Try turning the levers 90 degrees and see if water starts going into the wh. There should be some indicators on the valves as to which way the output goes.
  • Looks to be a hot water tank bypass (albeit a rather simple/crude one). The valves should have a position where the water enters the tank from the supply (blue) line and exits via the hot water (red) line. The white shunt line would be isolated at both ends.
