Forgot to mention, I'm probably 100' from the panel, but I measured 119V at the kitchen outlet with the a/c running. I only have the one 15k BTU roof mounted unit.
I re-purposed existing buried 3/4" PVC conduit that used to feed the old detached garage with a 20a circuit. I used the old #12 wire to pull new #10 through the conduit back to the panel, and upgraded the breaker from 20 to 30. I considered going to #8 because of the distance, but was afraid it wouldn't pull through the 3/4" conduit.
I was concerned about the distance but looks like I am OK voltage wise. If this was a new install I would have used #8 in a 1" conduit.
So we tore down the old dilapidated garage with the skimpy 20a circuit and built a new 24x30 garage with a 100a subpanel on the other side of the main residence. We put in some landscape timbers and river rock, and now we park the TT where the old garage sat.
