I see some statements here that I need to question for my own edification.
A Duplex handy box. Dedicated ground rod use. PG&E Pacific Gas & Electric told me several decades ago that a dedicated ground rod for this style box was absolutely prohibited. The installation required a genuine sub panel before it could meet code. A sub panel meant a 100 amp rated panel. Which means rain tight if exposed outside.
Has this changed? My interpretation of a Duplex Handy Box is a dual breaker box is a 60-amp enclosure. The enclosure I used was not rain tight.
There is much I need to brush up on. General advice and remarks would be muh appreciated. Thank you.
