RV ROOF TREATMENT

Can anyone give me advice as to how to treat the roof on my 07 Flagstaff 5er? What product etc. I've inspected it and it seems o.k. No rips, bubbles etc, but I would like to protect it. Also, is there any product to protect the Decals? In the past years, they fade, crack and peal. I've replaced 3 of them, by ordering them from Forrest River, but I would like to protect the remaining good ones..
thanks in advance.

Again, old issue - roof warranty after 1 year is only the material warranty. Meaning, they guarantee that material won't disintegrate for 10 or 12 years, whatever it says there. And it won't indeed disintegrate for about that long. This warranty doesn't cover mechanical damage. Chances of 303 to cause disintegration of synthetic rubber are zero, it just doesn't happen. This stuff is washed off with rain every winter, and next spring nobody would even know whether there was any treatment.

Btw, my roof was covered with some goo right from the dealer, they treated it with something few weeks before I bought it 'cause it was sitting there for almost a year.

Alpha Systems, the mfg of the roof on my new trailers says DO NOT use any treatments. Such usage can void the warranty according to this mfg.

This subject comes up again and again. Search function on the forum doesn't work well, though.

    1) 303 protectant. You are going to re-do this every few months, and in 12-14 years will spend close to what a new rubber would cost, which rubber you are going to replace or re-coat with liquid rubber after 14-15 years anyway.

    or

    2) Do nothing. Wash it with dish detergent when you feel like. After 10-12 years you will have to replace the rubber or re-coat it with a Liquid Rubber.

In either scenario there is a strong possibility that the rubber will have to be replaced fully or partially before 10 years due to mechanical damage, ex. it separated at some spot and highway winds ripped the flap further off. Time and money spent on 303 won't help then, obviously :)
