Your battery should fully charge at 14.4 volts, I have no idea how hot the battery will get at 14.9 volts, but you probably will boil off a LOT of water, that you needlessly have to replace monthly!
I set mine up from 13.5 cut out to about 13.8 volt cut-out when I had a PWM controller. That was plenty to fully charge the battery.
