I would recommend just making your own connections, rather than use the manufacturer's cable. its not hard, just need wire strippers that can also do crimp splices. I take it the inverter has either ring terminal posts or screw downs for bare wire. Doesn't matter which, just need 2 more crimps if they are posts on the inverter.
What you should do is crimp an inline fuse holder with a red positive wire, throw in a 15 amp fuse into the holder. Put your fuse holder as close as possible to battery ring terminal for positive. Use then crimp ring terminals to the red and black wires at the battery end, and mount directly to the battery screw posts.

You can just buy all this stuff at an automotive part supply store, it wont be expensive, all this should cost like 20 bucks tops. Buy enough red and black wire to be able to place the inverter conveniently close to the batteries.
