If you are staying in a new area for some time, that is out of your home spotbeam area, you can trade the areas. You will not receive your home local channels, but you will receive the 4 major networks thru your new area's local channels. Just have the new address ready, and call DTV, and tell them you want a temporary address change, take them about 30 seconds to change it. I would guess Dish will do that too.
