Satellite radio external antenna

My new TT has satellite/cable hookups outside to feed the audio control system (Genesis GT3.0). The outside fittings are, of course, for screw-on, coax cables. My satellite radio's antenna has a small audio male plug that I now plug into the AUX port on the Genesis.

Question: Does anyone make a coax-to-audio cable adaptor? This would enable me to use the existing trailer wiring to hook up my XM instead of fishing the antenna out a window.

  • Unless you have a metal roof, just put the sat radio antenna up in the top of a cabinet, right up near the roof. It will probably work fine, and you won't have to run a wire outside at all. On our motor home, it works great up under the fiberglass front cap.
  • I think you're trying to mix apples and oranges. I'm not familiar with your rig or the Genesis but an aux satellite radio antenna is an entirely different thing than a media cable input
