Used in conjunction with a glass container it will sterilize water and keep a 19 liter jug absolutely sterile with 10 minutes per week applications. Sterilize dishes, clothing, damp bath towels avoiding musty odors. I let it work in the bathroom re-positioning it every 10 minutes and no more marine musty odor. Not even 3X week chlorine bleach scrubbing could do that.

UV light can not sterilize water! It can work as a germicidal/ bactericidal device and can keep microorganism in check, but it just cannot sterilize anything!
I made my living in Infection Control and Prevention, and boy, would we have been happy if UV light could have sterilized things and environments!
