It won't be that much longer when batteries won't have any holes to poke a hydrometer in to, and all the battery fanitics will live a much happier life.

So a bad cell in a 12V battery won't ruin the other cells or wreak havoc with the charging system?
A bad 12V battery paralleled with a good 12V battery won't prematurely wear out the good battery?
This scenario is no different...
