Shore power out - no battery back up

Also be aware that it is a DOT SAFETY REQUIRMENT that when your trailer is being pulled over public roads that it MUST have a working battery online in the event the trailer becomes disconnected when being pulled. The on-board working trailer battery provides the 12VDC to the run away Trailer Electric Brakes to stop it.

Not having the working battery may go against your insurance claim for damages if it is determined that no working battery was on-line.

Most OEM disconnect switches will not remove the connection to the electric brakes but worth knowing this to be the case.

Also, put a full top charge back on your battery, now that you've used it without the charge controller having 120V to charge it back up. Also watch that your charger controller, if plugged in full time, does not boil and dry out and kill your batteries due to over charging.

Turned it on and all back to normal.

Glad to hear the problem was so easily (and inexpensively) solved. May I suggest a post-it note to hang down from the microwave that says "Hey, Dummy, remember to reconnect the battery before you try to do anything else" as a little reminder, both for next time AND to help you remember to do that before you try to drag your rig elsewhere to go camping. We all need such reminders from time to time, being as how ain't none of us gettin' smarter as we get older.

You should have a fuse/circuit breaker near the battery. It could be under the front of the rig where the umbilical cord and rig wiring comes together

Unplug and check battery voltage on the actual battery terminals.

With shore power your converter was putting out 12 volts which makes the monitor look like full charge.

Sounds like the battery disconnect switch was operated to disconnect the battery.

Does you trailer have a battery?
