And people wonder why I rant about hydrometers and manually adjustable time/amplitude chargers.
And for the Slow-On-The-Uptake unbelievers: Once you get it dialed-in it's all Plug N Save.
Chew-Toy: If a super whiz-bang 22 stage Smart Charger is leaving a large battery bank at perpetual 80% state of charge you have another think coming. The missing 20% means MORE because the missing energy is WATT HOURS. And while you are replacing batteries I will spin a dial then go listen to Beethoven.
Years ago I figured the crazies took over when computer software yielded 2% of program storage for useful tasks and 98% to give the CPU, RAM and storage, near terminal cases of digital constipation. That trend continues with anything with an EPROM in it. Battery charging devices too.
