The SiO2 battery linked comes in at roughly half the cost of the carbon foam units, and is in the same range (price wise for me in Canada) as the Rolls Surrette units I was considering.
Putting aside claims of snake oil and beer foam, does anyone have practical experience with this technology or are we talking pure speculation? If the latter then I will discard the idea and go back to the wet cells, thanks.
As long as your eyes are open with realistic expectations and failure will not put you in a bad spot... I say go for it.
To my knowledge these batteries have never been discussed on this board. Any warranty? 90 days?
