BTW: I just purchased 100 star shaped LED 10-watt heatsinks for 1,100 lumen Bridgelux 10-12 volt LED chips. Total price delivered under two hundred dollars.
No fan needed. Now the hunt is on for exceptionally low priced drivers.
I am going to try clear gel-coating the chips once they are mounted. For corrosion resistance. This is going to be fun.
I am going to try and series connect 4 33 volt 50 watt chips, isolate with a 6 amp 1KV rectifier span a 100 uf cap across the rectified potential and pluggerin.
