its kind of hard to tell to be honest. the way it is designed it has a square tube (3"x3") with teeth welded to the bottom and that square tube rides in a channel that is welded to frame of toterhome with the motor attached to it. sorry to make it complicated, but im outside of my element on this one.
perhaps that steel channel the slide rides is is warped or not square. its not insanely difficult to move with motor disconnected, but maybe the silicone lube will help?
