The BEST/simplest way to test a wall switch---REVERSE the 2 wires, not the center wire. This makes the switch operate opposite. IF the retract still does NOT work, then the Control board is probably at fault. ALL the control board does is reverse the polarity to the motor. Now, the BEST way to check now since you have replaced the relay/control board is go to the motor, disconnect the 2 wires and using an external 12 volt supply (easiest is if you have a 12 volt screw gun, use that battery), and connect the Pos and neg to the motor wires and see if it moves one way, then reverse the wires and see if it moves the other way. If so, your Motor is OK. If you reverse the switch wires and the motor reverses when hot wired the only other item is that Control board. On 2nd thought, the wire for retract FROM the switch may be dead or not secured at the relay module. You need to do your switch jumping AT the module board. Also, there are just 2 wires from the module to the motor. You can do your hot wire to the motor from those 2 wires at the module instead of going outside to the motor. Doug
