My cougar's slide isn't leaving marks because I raised the slide up about 1/4" - but the reason I did it was because the wood in the slide had warped down and was dragging in the center.
I have installed a roller - attached to the outer frame of the Trailer - and had to do some imagineering of it's placement and setup. It's not leaving any marks anymore.
You may want to raise the slideout up 1/4" by unlocking the lock nut and raising the screw 1/4".
