TRICKLE CHARGER yet another battery related BUZZWORD
The first trickle chargers appeared many decades ago. They were LABELED and called trickle chargers.
They "tickled" the battery with a constant tiny uncontrolled charge.
And boiled thousands dry.
And got a deserved bad reputation.
Today...
Battery maintenance chargers are called FLOAT chargers
Which is a more accurate description of newer chargers that actually do not overfeed a battery to death.
