Solar --Wire and Battery Fuse Size Confusion- How Big?

Can somebody please explain the math on this? I get really confused. Previously, I have seen how you have to allow 1.25 oversizing for the wires from the panel, the controller, and the wires from ...

Given your criteria I recommend minimum #6 wire and a 50 amp fuse. Fuse to be close to the B+ terminal.

Maxi fuse holder #6 wire and up to 60 amp.

Bussmann CB185-50 circuit breaker Switchable

If the run is short, protected and in plain view I might just skip the fuse.
