Solar as battery maintenance during storage - opinions

The batteries will be stored outside in the cold. They will discharge very slowly. The OP prefers to run his generator than use solar...

...visit the rig every few weeks and do a quick top charge. Put the 'solar money' into fuel for the gennie.
