In your picture I see the two battery wires connected to the battery terminals in the controller but nothing connected to the PV terminals. How does that work? Is this a "in progress" picture as I see what looks like the temp sensor that should be connected to a battery post just laying loose.

I prewired everything I could in my shop and then just mounted the board everything was on in the cabinet in my fiver. The panels and batteries were wired after I installed the pictured components.
Here it is installed.
I have changed it somewhat since then
