I've been wondering about this too. 2*140W panels in series have 42 Voc at normal 25C temperature. On a cold day the Eco MPPT will go up in smoke.
Good news is that with Eco MPPT you can wire 2*140W in parallel, though this would necessitate #6 cable and some ugly junction box on the roof.

This is a TC, probably 30-40ft cable run one-way, 3% losses, no big deal. Same $700 total parts. No ugly rooftop box.
