Hi Niner,
I RV in weather that is from -40 to +40 C (-40 to 102 F). Temperature compensation is a must do.
If you are short on panels and rving where it is cold temperature compensation becomes even MORE of an issue. The batteries simply won't charge effectively.
In hot weather, with an undersize system (which is a design flaw), then I agree temperature compensation doesn't matter much.
