I still don't understand any relationship between the amount of solar wattage vs the size of the battery bank such as PT quotes often.
There is a relationship between the amount of AH you use in a day and the AH the solar can produce in a day to replace that usage. Obviously.
But how many batteries you have has nothing to do with it. PT does say (in small print and not often) that for any given AH usage and solar that would meet that, the smaller the battery bank, the higher the ratio gets of AH use/solar size vs battery bank size. Well of course.
However, it is backwards thinking, (prescriptive vs descriptive, etc :) ) to say that if you have a smaller bank you need a higher ratio of solar to battery. Ignores all relationship with usage.
You can have two or two dozen batteries in your bank. Has nothing to do with how much solar you need.
