^Well disconnecting the battery does nothin to sole whether it’s charging.
OP, easy test. When it “should be” charging from solar, a voltage reading on the battery should be above the resting state of the battery. At least 13.xx volts. If it’s 12.7 or below it is doing nothing at that moment.
