Every once in a rare while a design engineer gets considerate and slots the hard-to-reach hole on a bracket so you totally remove the easier fastener and only loosen the other one.
Sometimes I've been able to modify a part that way, trying to look ahead to the next time I might have to change it, maybe under less favorable conditions.
