I replaced my pump and filter as well and all genie problem disappeared afterwards.

You may have two filters in the gas line. One that screws on to the supply side of the pump and one between the pump and the carb.

There is a service bulletin from Onan advising removal of the filter near the carb. They sell a replacement fuel line that goes direct from the pump to the carb, but want about $40.00 for it. I purchased the parts to make my own fuel line from the pump to the carb for under $5.00
