Yes, there's something wrong with your charging system or something's drawing your batteries down too low before recharging. Avoid drawing a battery below 50% before recharging as it shortens the batteries useful life dramatically.
We have had adequate battery packs in all our RV's and boats also since the 1980's as all our RV's and cabined boats have MSW inverters so we have adequate AC at will. Only use the flooded 12V group 31 deep cycle batteries exclusively. I had tried 2 AGM batteries in 2008 at great expense and they discharged much faster than the flooded type so will only buy flodded type again. We've always gotten 5-6 years min out of our batteries before replacing and they still weren't dead but were showing weakness and faster discharge. Sure not fun to have dead cells greet you when you are on a trip! Had it happen once and surely don't want it again! Not all areas or cities have places to buy good group 31 deep cycle battery replacements and the prices vary greatly around the country. I would rather be safe than sorry and keep the extra padding in my wallet! We don't like being ripped off and try to prevent it from happening by not tempting fate or helping out murphy's law!
