Spraying Seafoam directly into Honda 2000 Carb.

I have a couple of Honda 2000's. One is surging at idle. Can I safely, spray Seafoam directly into the carb? If ok, how much? A quick shot? Wait a few seconds and then another quick shot? For sev...

Yes, what I did with a leaf blower was to spray Seafoem into the carb with the engine running wide open till it flooded out and died. Then let it sit about 15 or 20 minutes and restart and it smoked like crazy but smoothed out and ran great afterwards. :)
