Sticking Toilet Ball - Thetford Type II
On our last trip we noticed that the toilet ball is not closing smoothly after flushing. The current fix is to lift up on the pedal + the ball closes for the seal. From those of you who have done it...

Have you cleaned the seal/ball?
Hold ball open and then using your hand thoroughly clean the seal (top/bottom/sides) flexing it as you clean it. Clean the ball
Then lubricate the seal thoroughly again using your hand---plumbers grease or even olive oil. Rub it into the seal.
If ball still hangs up.....get the kit and replace.
My toilet is going on 8 yrs.........FTnd for 7yrs. So it has had a lot of use.
Still original and works great.
