Storm Cat 900 on sale again

Harbor Freight is offering their 900/700 watt generators for $89.95 right now. I know, I know, they are not Hondas or Yamahas. I paid $90 for one and sold it a couple of years later for $80. I primarily used it in place of dragging out a long extension cord. Picked up another today.

  • Runs a 22 CF Tor Rey chest freezer started first then my Viking. @ 109 volts. Probably close to full out. When the refrigerator cuts out it is not allowed to high head restart. About four hours and three fingers worth of tank runtime.

I wanted a chew and spit generator and this is it.
  • I doubt that one would run much of a refrigerator/freezer with only 700 watts available. They are fun, lightweight, little generators to have around. They say the break-in period is 25 hours which is probably more than most will get used in a year.

I saw that ad. You used yours for things like power tools, it seems. Will one of those start and run the typical residential refrigerator/freezer? Double Door, 20-cft or so?
