Obsolete aftermarket cruise control box. Probably by Escort. ALL Class A motorhomes (Gas) until about 1990 had aftermarket cruise controls and once Ford and Chevy started installing their systems the originals went out of business and no parts available. YOUR system was an unusual system. It had a preset of 55 mph. Your turn signal lever should have a large black end that rotates and has a center "indent". When on the center indent and you push the engage button the system automatically is set at 55 mph ( this is programmable for other set speeds but was factory set at 55). To go lower or faster you rotated the black knob until it hit the speed you wanted. 1985 may have the magnets on the drive shaft for speed sensing. This was about the time they all went to speedometer cable sensors. Doug
