These are the wyze cam V2 with a weather resistant cover. I filled the electrical connections with dielectric grease before plugging it in. Then used hot glue around the small gap where the cord enters the outdoor-ish cover. Mounted to the trailer using aluminum strips and double sided tape.
Its lasted 10 hours of drive time. 1 hour of that was washboard dirt roads. I didnt use much tape as im still playing around with placement. Have them safety wired for when the tape fails. Theyve been rained and snowed on. Super windy here and so far the cameras are still working.
Not as good as the Ring camera for many reasons. In terms of price it was $25 camera, $8 cover, $7-12 Sd card, $5 for a longer cord. Starts to add up when the original plan was a cheap $20-25 camera.
Ive got 6 of these suckers now. 3 on the house and 2 on the trailer. Plan to put a 3rd on the trailer facing rear. I bought their "pan cam" for my moms house and its pretty good for $35. Can pan side to side and tilt and zoom. Good for watching pets during the day or alert you if someone enters the house of course.
