NOT in my diesel pushers. Either Shell Rotella T or Delo 400 in the recommended viscosity. Both are quality oils and available everywhere including Walmart.
Brett, as a respected Diesel RV authority, why do you not run Synthetic oil in your diesel coach?
Richard - theoldwizard1Explorer IIVery general comments ...
Synthetics are great for cold weather starting.
Unlike a gasoline engine, a diesel has more "blow by" (small amounts of combustion gas that seep past the rings). In a diesel, the blow by tends to have more carbon. Regardless of the quality of your filter you can not get all of this carbon out of the oil once it is in there. Bottom line, don't expect to get extremely long oil life when using synthetics in a diesel engine. - CA_TravelerExplorer IIIMex, Is this https://lelubricants.com/lubricants.html the link?

I stated using Shell 5W40 T6, no problems with my Cat C7.
Good oil at a reasonable price.....for every type of engine.
Originally formulated for diesels.
But don't look for SHELL on the label; it is in the fine print.
The brand is Rotella. - agesilausExplorer III

Was just wondering, has anyone run Amsoil or similar products in a diesel? I use it in our sprinter and it seems to be ok, was wondering if there is any advantage to using it in our cat motor.
Well I ran it for one oil change until Amsoil announced that they no longer claim longer periods in between oil changes for diesel engines. - w4phjExplorerI stated using Shell 5W40 T6, no problems with my Cat C7.
- AvaExplorerI was told by a Cummins mechanic it was ok to use synthetic oil but as long as the oil gets changed as required, my old 5.9 12 valve is going to outlive the motorhome anyway.
- LwiddisExplorer IIAs long as the oil is approved by the vehicle manufacturer....
- azdryheatExplorerI'll bet your engine doesn't care which oil is in it so long as it's approved and is changed at proper intervals.
