Tail light.

My right tail light lights up when I turn on the lights on my travel trailer but it won't light up when I put my turn signal on or step on the brakes. Any idea why that would be?

Those things are horrible. They should be taken off the market.
  • Fixed it. It was the correct bulb but the Scotch-Locks had a bad connection.
  • You may have inadvertedly installed the Bulb wrong ! remove and reinstall paying attention to the Alignment Studs on the side of the Lamp!

Or You may have the wrong bulb!

Test light will tell you everything. You lost a connection and it is being shunted through the trailer connector.
    What do I test?

The bulb has two filaments, one for tail lights and one for brake/signal lights.

Sounds like the bulb needs to be replaced. You might try cleaning the contacts (make sure the trailer is unplugged) to see if corrosion is causing the problem.

I did replace the bulb and still the same thing.
