Suggest you measure the current draw
As Fred said a 5amp fuse should be good
From what I have seen the coil current varies quite a lot between different manufacturers and models. Seen some as high as a few amps and some less than a 1/2 amp. I assume yours is a 100% Duty Cycle Solenoid. Some run hot to the touch and some cool.
